Steelhead season is here!
It is September 22, and we are having unseasonably warm and sunny weather. It is too hot to fish for steelhead, so find something else to do! When the water is getting into the mid 60's and low 70's it is best for the fish to let them be and not stress them with a fight. We are hearing reports that fish are beginning to stage off the creek mouths, so some rain and cool weather should get things going. Wednesday night appears to be the cool change in weather we are hoping for. We still have open dates for our cabins, and for guided trips. Our steelhead camps also have some openings--see below.

2017 Steelhead Camps
Swinging flies for steelies is about as fun as it gets, and these camps are all about that. Our Steelhead spey/switch camp is set for October 19-22. The focus will be on Spey casting with switch & spey rods, but single handers are also welcome. We also have a steelhead camp November 26-29. At both camps, guests stay at our cabins on Cattaraugus creek in Zoar Valley. Both camps include 3 nights of lodging, and 2 guided days on our streams. The cost is $650.00 pp.
